My Prince Nuada Silverlance cosplay from Hellboy.

This was worn for 2010 Auckland Armageddon, for my 6th competition. Along with my sister who cosplayed as Nuala, we won Best in Show for Auckland and then went up against the Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin winners and won the New Zealand title.

This photo was part of the Botanical Gardens photoshoot.
Thanks to :iconaurellion: for being our photographer for the day.

:iconjettwolfgang: and I worked on the two costumes over the year. It was our first year using craft foam which is awesome because it came out beautifully as you can see.

This is quite epic. My friend and I are attempting to do a joint Nuala and Nuada cosplay, and I was just wondering: did you mean you used craft foam to make the armor? And if you didn't, would you mind my asking what you did use?

We used 3mm thick craft foam sheets for the weaponry, the crest on our stomachs and as the raised designs on the armour, but the base of my gauntlets, greaves and chest pieces are made from lion board. It goes by other names which I can't remember right now but it is about 5-6mm thick and when heated it moulds to the body for nice curves. But it is basically the same as craft foam, only thicker and a lot sturdier.

Thankyou very much.
We really enjoyed making these two costumes. And they were even better to wear.
